Nicky Harrold is a Home Economist, food stylist and creative cookery writer with over 10 years freelance experience.  She has a food manufacturing and catering background and works with many of the UK’s top food companies in retail, catering and the media.

Born in Belgium, her love of food and travel with an interest in different food cultures has been enhanced by attending several cookery schools in places such as Thailand and Laos which gives her a relaxed but creative style of working. 

Nicky’s passion for food and her practical and creative skills range from writing delicious recipes to fit every specific client brief, to creating mouth wateringly styled food and drink for photography and TV commercials.

With Nicky’s 10 years commercial experience working within 2 top international food companies, she has an in depth understanding of how food manufacturing works and of their business objectives by working on all aspects of food photography, recipe development, product development and project management and has worked directly with marketing, sales, PR, R&D and market research departments.

Nicky has also worked with a range of celebrity chefs including Sophie Grigson, James Martin and Peter Gordon and has assisted them on stage at major shows at Olympia and at the BBC Good Food Show.
